Well done RWTH!

RWTH Aachen University has once again achieved impressive results in the “U-Multirank” university ranking.

Well done, RWTH! In the European Commission’s university ranking “U-Multirank” this year, the RWTH achieved grades of “very good” or “good” in 18 of the 28 indicators assessed. It excelled in the fields of research and knowledge transfer, achieving the grade “very good” in five of the seven indicators for knowledge transfer, which include, for example, number of publications in cooperation with industry, number of patent applications, and number of spin-offs. And it got over-average grades in all of the indicators for international orientation.

Thirteen subjects were also ranked: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Sciences, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Sciences and Material Technology, Electrical Engineering and study courses in Industrial Engineering in four distinct disciplines. Eight of these subjects had already been ranked before and, compared to that previous ranking, almost all of the eight have succeeded in improving their results. Chemistry achieved the top two categories a total of 11 times, while physics and computer science also feature in the top two categories more than 20 times overall. Good grades were also achieved in subject areas and courses of study that were being ranked for the first time.
In terms of student ratings, surveyed through an online questionnaire, all subjects got good grades.
